Christmas is a festival of fun and feasting, in
which the dinner holds a special place. Christmas dinner, whether
lavish or simple, is prepared by every household, during the holiday
season. Frequent lunches and dinners during the holiday season call
for a very warm and welcoming atmosphere at home, especially the
table, where you dine with your guests. Hence, Christmas table
decorations play a key role in creating a cozier atmosphere for your
visitors, so that they feel at home when they are at your place. So,
if you are expecting guests for the dinner, arrange the table and
decorate it beautifully with Christmas table decorations. Here are
some ideas for decorating the Christmas table. Follow them and make
your Christmas feast a memorable one!
- Flowers are the quintessence of Christmas table décor.
No table decoration is complete without flowers. Buy a bouquet
of fresh cut flowers, place them in a nice clear glass vase and
use it as the centerpiece for your dining table. Potted
poinsettia look good as Christmas table decoration.
- If you have not put up a flower arrangement, just place a
couple of candles in the center, on a brass candleholder. This,
in itself, will make an elegant Christmas table decoration.
Decorate the candleholder with ribbons and glitters. To cast a
cozy and aromatic glow, use scented candles.
- You may also make a combination of flowers and candles, to
make a cheery Christmas table decoration. Place two big candles
on wooden decorative candleholders and place a flower vase
between them.
- Crystal bowls are always used to make beautiful centerpieces.
Arrange colorful fruits, such as oranges, apples and bananas, in
them. You can also add pinecones to make an attractive Christmas
table centerpiece.
- Another option to take a flat, crystal dish and fill it with
clear water. Now, take some roses and take off their petals.
Spread the flowers over the water, in the crystal dish, and
place the dish in the center of the table.
